2026-2027 Community-Based Research Awards

The partnership between the Center for Regional Studies (CRS) and UNM’s College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) is supporting two A&S faculty members as they develop and implement practical, real-world solutions to the challenges facing communities in New Mexico and the Southwest in the twenty-first century. Working alongside their community-based partners, the faculty members will conduct research that aligns with the mission of CRS while providing meaningful benefits to both the university and community partners. CRS awarded $7,500 to each project, and A&S contributed an additional $5,000 per project.

Projects Supported by CRS & A&S
