Faculty Development Awards

Each year, the UNM Center for Regional Studies (CRS) invites UNM faculty to apply for one of its Faculty Development Awards that will address historical as well as emerging trends relating to the peoples and cultures of the greater Southwest.  Proposals from the humanities, arts, education, and social sciences are encouraged. Project categories change from year to year and will be posted in a call for proposals containing detailed specifications each March. 

Eligibility Criteria

All UNM faculty at branch campuses, the central campus, and Health Science Center including full, associate, and assistant professor ranks are eligible to apply.  Faculty applicants must hold tenure-stream or tenured full-time appointments in a UNM department or academic program. Projects will need to align with the mission of the Center for Regional Studies. 

2026-2027 CRS Faculty Development Award Cycle

Call for Proposals and Application Packet will be posted in February 2026. Deadline for applications will be May 1, 2026.
