2025-2026 Community-Based Research Awards
For a fourth year, CRS partnered with UNM’s College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) for its “Community-based Research Initiative.” The award supported UNM faculty working towards the development and implementation of practical and real-life solutions to the challenges facing New Mexico or Southwest communities in the twenty-first century. These projects are co-directed by College of Arts & Sciences faculty members working alongside their community-based partners. While keeping the project aligned with CRS’s mission, the goal is for both partners to benefit from the research. CRS awarded a total of $49,338 for three FY26 community projects.
