A reception was held on March 14, 2019, to honor authors who had recently published books with support from the Center for Regional Studies at the University of New Mexico. The program included remarks by Dr. Christine Sierra as well as a few minutes of insight from each of the authors regarding their process of research and scholarship. The honored guests included Karen R. Roybal, Melina Vizcaíno-Alemán, Enrique R. Lamadrid, and David V. Holtby.
